It is important to surround yourself with the kinds of thoughts and ideas that are going to create the JOY and HOPE that one needs during this lifetime.  For that, I rely heavily on the Holy Bible and I often times listen to YouTube where I can find Scripture Songs.  It is a way for me to memorize these promises.  And it is a way for me to fight back against the depression and pessimism that I find in my own life.  Especially now, with the pandemic, it seems that everything I read in the news is depressing.  However, there is still Good in the world- and God is the author of such good. So what will we choose to read, and what will we choose to think about on a day to day basis?  They will be seeds that will grow over time.  My advice is to plant wisely.  Philippians 4:8 says Choose those things that are beautiful, noble, peacemaking, truthful, wise, and right- choose those things which acknowledge God and honor HIM.

Some may say that God is not able to do great and wondrous things because he does not exist-- I say He already has done great and wondrous things all our lives.  We are living in the majesty of his creation- with the breath - with the life- that He gave.

Why does illness exist then? I have often asked this question.  I get frustrated with my illness. But God is not to blame. I don't understand but I do believe and I do whatever I can- however small it may be. I do what I can do and I pray for everything else.
